O. B. LULU-BRIGGS FOUNDATION BEGAN DISTRIBUTION OF 5,000 BAGS OF RICE AND ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZERS ACROSS RIVERS STATE
This is the first phase of our intervention to help mitigate the challenges being experienced by vulnerable families in Rivers State as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with UNICEF we will announce the next steps in the coming days.
We salute all those working selflessly and tirelessly on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19 in Rivers State, Nigeria and around the world.
We share the pain of families who have lost loved ones to the pandemic and we stand in prayers with them and with all those infected with the virus, hopeful that they will survive it as a majority of other infected people have.
We praise the efforts of scientists, government officials and private groups and individuals who are contributing their knowledge, time, energy and resources in finding a cure that will contain and curtail the devastation being caused by COVID-19. We thank our friends and development partners like UNICEF who are working with us to support the Rivers State government’s efforts in combating the pandemic.
To the general public, we appeal to your continued sense of civic responsibility as we all adhere to government directives. Together, we will overcome. Stay safe and healthy.
